Proviron or Pro-v is an interesting drug. Proviron is technically a steroid. Proviron has no anabolic activity though. Its clinical use is to replace androgen content in the male for men who are being treated for low sperm count and also low sex drive. For the purpose of fertility, pro-v is also combined with many other drugs. For our purposes, think of it as a dual drug for zilching out estrogen as well as offering some insurance against a loss of libido during your cycles. This is an awesome benefit. Personally I have used pro-v with a deca only cycle when trying to stay away from test (I am an androgen head), and pro-v did a noticeable job at keeping my sex drive up to where it usually is when I am on test. It was able to accomplish this great feat with only one, 50mg tab a day. I used IP’s little yellow tabs. Don’t know if you’ve seen them but they are great. To be truthful, I don’t really know if they are made anymore. Either way, 50mg of a legit pro-v per day will offer you great assurance in sustaining your libido. I realize that I speak of this often, but it is key to being able to enjoy your cycles and I find it is also closely related to appetite. This is completely anecdotal but when the sex drive is high, the appetite tends to be high, and you can grow much better with less anabolic steroids. I would trade a ravenous appetite any day over being on a ton of juice with no appetite when bulking and mass is the goal. It is the food after all, that allows the juice to work its magic.
Sadly, if you take progesteronic (I made that word up) steroids and use nolvadex, you may be at an increased risk for progesteronic sides, as nolvadex may increase progesterone receptors ( Gynecol Oncol. 1999 Mar;72(3):331-6 ). So besides competing with estrogen at the receptor, these drugs both increase serum test levels, and both drugs may also alter blood lipid profiles. With regards to Clomid and Nolvadex, I’ve found some research that indicates that 20mgs of tamoxifen is equal to 150mgs of clomid for purposes of testosterone elevation, FSH and LH, but tamoxifen did not decrease the LH response to LHRH ( Fertil Steril. 1978 Mar;29(3):320-7 ). Interestingly, Nolvadex can even be used in small doses just as effectively as larger doses, when it comes to sperm indices and spermatogenesis. (“ Effect of lower versus higher doses of tamoxifen on pituitary-gonadal function and sperm indices in oligozoospermic men”. Dony JM, Smals AG, Rolland R, Fauser BC, Thomas CM.) So in this case, we can actually use much lower doses than the egregiously recommended 40-60mgs/day. 5mgs a day seems to be as effective as 20, with regards to basal or LHRH stimulated gonadotropin and testosterone response or the E2/T ratio (Ibid).
I totally understand what kind of job you had. I work at a Wally World distribution center. Started in shipping, loading about 3 to 4 full semi’s a day. Didn’t know how much weight I loaded. Then switched to non conveyable. When in dog food, I’d stack about 60k/lbs in 12 hours. That was MUCH easier than shipping. My first year, I struggled. Then I talked to my bro-in-law, who is a personal trainer, found and I started to do good. I was taking creatine and C4 prior to work, and took an Animal Pak with UniLiver every break, while eating protien every 3-4 hours. This brought me to Muscle for Life and The Books. I’m in maintenance department now, and are about to join a gym. I’ve been wanting to get the Legion multi’s and switch to Legion supplements. I’m about done reading BLS, and are gonna start the year one challenge. I’ve aready bought BBLS and Shredded Chef. I get excited every time I think about my goals.
